Dear Body,

I brush my hand along, my skin smooth and warm.
Blood pumping, feeling the energy moving through.
Mother life kisses my being - with every breath, every beat, softly flowing.
Beholden for my heart, my head, all these things hold me inside.
A delightful place to sit as I enjoy the ride of living.
This temporary fleshy costume over an unimaginable shine.
Dear body, I thank you for your beauty.
I honor the scars upon you, for you held it all together.
I admire your imperfections for simply existing, with not a worry for how they are viewed.
Intimately I feel this body. Not with my hands or with yours.
But with the power of connection, to what's above and what's below.
